Heroes: Jubilee by JeannieHarmon Heroes: Jubilee by JeannieHarmon
Winthrop's Society of Illustrators held its annual spring show, and this year the theme was Heroes. We were pretty much allowed to do whatever for this as long as we could relate the theme back to it. I chose to do the X-Men as seen in the 1990s cartoon. As well as being superheroes in their own world, these guys were pretty much the epitome of awesomeness when I was young.

I used ballpoint pen and watercolors because I'd seen a few others on dA do it and thought it looked cool. Also, I love watercolors.

This is Jubilee. Always liked her even if she wasn't always useful.

Medium: Ballpoint pen, watercolor, colored pencil

i see weird lines that look like the upper rims of her eye sockets, and then a forehead, but no eyebrows. it looks off..

I see what you mean, it could look a little confusing.

Sparkle sparkle!

Really though, Jubilee was an awful character in the 90's tv show. She was the only character never to have a romantic interest. Not even the creators cared about her.

Hahaha, yeah... I still love her though (although partly just to piss off one of my friends who hates her XD)

I always loved Jubilee, but something I never understood was how come she always wore dishwashing gloves?

I'm not really sure. Maybe she sparkled the germs off of dishes when she was done with them? No idea.
