Winthrop's Society of Illustrators held its annual spring show, and this year the theme was Heroes. We were pretty much allowed to do whatever for this as long as we could relate the theme back to it. I chose to do the X-Men as seen in the 1990s cartoon. As well as being superheroes in their own world, these guys were pretty much the epitome of awesomeness when I was young.
I used ballpoint pen and watercolors because I'd seen a few others on dA do it and thought it looked cool. Also, I love watercolors.
This is Gambit. I am not supporting smoking, but the man was born to do it. The flames were fun to paint.
Medium: Ballpoint pen, watercolor, colored pencil
